1.    Choose a basic moisturizer with an SPF of at least 15, and use it daily rain or shine. UV rays cause wrinkles.
2.    Use a gentle cleanser that cleans, exfoliates and leaves the skin soft and fresh, not dry.
3.    Yes, you do need a night creme with anti-aging ingredients to work while you sleep. Massage over entire face and the neck area.
4.    If you are getting fine lines around the eye area, you should apply an eye creme as well.
5.    Your body skin needs help too. Use a lubricating lotion after you shower, paying special attention to those parts that sag first… upper arms and inner thighs.

We were especially pleased to hear it helped those of you suffering from the Spring allergy season and wanted to share some helpful hints on how to cover the lasting redness around the nose and eye area. Even our powerful concealers can use a little help this time of year.

Neutralize Red Skin

We suggest applying the Red X Stick before make-up where needed to neutralize the redness. Apply carefully around the eye area and blend the edges. The Red X Stick is fragrance free. Then use your favorite Smart Cover concealer or even your own make-up for a natural look without the redness (even if you wear glasses). Then you’re ready to go for the day.

Vitamin Beauty Stick

Did you know that cuticles provide a barrier against bacteria, yeast, and fungus at the base of your nails? Therefore, you don’t ever want to cut them away. It’s so much better to condition them and push them back gently.

After you soak your nails in warm water, we suggest that you use baby oil or olive oil and massage it into your nails. Then gently push back the cuticles with a Q-Tip or a clean orange stick(if you need to clean under your nails be sure to put cotton around the orange stick). If you have a hangnail, carefully snip it with a sterile cuticle trimmer. Make sure you only snip off the skin that stands up from the nail bed. If you try to do this at least two times a week, you will definitely see a difference.

Our answer is yes, they can. The position you sleep in is much more important than you think. If you sleep on your side or your tummy, don’t be surprised if an extra wrinkle or two appears on the side of your face. Just think of the six to eight hours a night you apply that extra pressure to your face, creating more wrinkles and furrows. This is really a problem for aging skin. Your aging skin has become thinner over the years. We do need to treat it sweet and gently. We do suggest sleeping on your back so your face is most relaxed and balanced. It’s also the best time and the best position for a firming night cream to do its work. Take it from us. We’ve been doing this for years! Try to sleep on your back so your face doesn’t get squished into the pillow. We know a lot of you have a hard time staying on your back. A helpful hint is to use an extra pillow to keep you on your back and feeling comfortable. Try it, you’ll like it!
