Exercising
I am over 60 and don’t have much time for exercising. What are the basics to maintain a better body?
We do advise that before you begin any exercise program, make sure your physician says it’s appropriate for your body.
You know as we get older, it’s important to keep up the muscle tone and healthy bones. Cardiovascular exercises such as brisk walking, swimming, riding your bike helps to keep your heart in good condition.
Stretching is very important to do before and after exercising — it will keep your muscles flexible and your bone structure more supple. Many experts recommend strengthening your body with free weights or resistance machines. But we suggest you learn what is best for you from a trained professional.
A tip that works for me – walking is a simple, sensible way to exercise at almost any age and helps burn calories more efficiently. Find an exercise buddy and try to set aside 30 minutes at least 4 times a week for your personal workout. Remember, fitness and fun can go together.
We’d love to answer your personal lifestyle or beauty question.
