THE ABCD'S OF EARLY DETECTION

Hi!

As we get older, our bodies have lived through more sun damage and we need to pay close attention to all of our sun spots, age spots, freckles, moles and more.

According to renowned dermatologist Dr. Scott Gottlieb, who did his fellowship at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania on the treatment of skin cancer calls it the ABCD’s of Skin Cancer Detection:

1.

Look for these ABCD's to flag potential skin cancer problems:

  • Asymmetric shape
  • Borders irregularity
  • Changes in color
  • Diameter - if they become larger than the size of an eraser head.
  • 2.

Know where your spots are and watch for any new ones, especially around areas exposed to the sun. It's important to have your own photographic image of your body.

    3.

Also be aware of something that doesn't heal.

    4.

When in doubt see your physician or Dermatologist.
